Age & Height Restrictions
Children from 7 years of age can join the tour.
Every person in a vehicle in The Netherlands must have their own seat with the age-appropriate safety equipment required by the law.
Children up to the age of 12 are required to have child seats. However, if the child is 1.35 meters/ 4 feet and 5 inches or taller, the age restriction does not apply and they do not need a child seat.
We can arrange booster seats but you must tell us at the time of booking, by email, that you require them.
There is no child discount as a seat is still a seat and we only have 8 of them.
It is possible to arrange an electric mobility scooter at Keukenhof Gardens but this you need to do directly with them. This is a great way to get around the gardens if you don’t fancy being on your feet for that long.
Cancellation & refunds policy
We’ve pondered a lot about this and because of the costs involved and planning, we can’t refund last minute cancellations so here is the deal:
If you cancel:
- more than 2 weeks in advance then you immediately receive a full refund.
- between 1 and 2 weeks in advance and immediately receive a 50% refund. You get the other 50% as well if we can resell your places.
- during the last week then there is no automatic refund but you get a full refund if we can sell your places

Great Tulip Tour, Great Guide! – Tripadvisor April 22 by Deb K
We HIGHLY recommend Mark, That Dam Guide! We had an extraordinary tour of Keukenhof Gardens and the Tulip fields. Mark met us at our hotel and drove to the Gardens. He walked with us through the beautiful gardens, pointing out the highlights, subtle sights and photo opps. He moved us along at a good pace – it would be easy to spend days there!
After touring Keukenof Gardens, we drove through the tulip fields, stopping to enjoy the sights and take pictures. Mark gave us good tips for photography, too.
We went to a quaint, out of the way restaurant for lunch – loved it! Mark guided us through the interesting Dutch menu.
We finished with a brief walking tour through the town of Haarlem. Mark gave us a history lesson and pointed out interesting sights.
It was a full day with plenty of walking, and stops for rest along the way. We enjoyed the entire experience! Our thanks to an excellent guide!
Perfect day tiptoeing thru the tulips – Tripadvisor April 22 by FordTruck66
Mark took us on an all day Tulip Tour .
We had planned this tour with Mark in 2020,but the virus put all plans on hold.
Mark stayed in touch and was always very responsive to our questions.
The day of the our tour was a perfect day in the Keukenhof Garden, and local fields.Lunch was exceptional.
Mark is easy- going, well versed in history and has a noteworthy sense of humor.
I highly recommend him for a tour.
A day that exceeded our expectations in many different ways. Tripadvisor April 22 by Richard Flowerdew
Fantastic day outing to the Keukenhof Gardens, followed by a traditional pancake lunch well off the beaten track, a visit to a windmill and tulip fields and finally a trip to two working farms.
Mark is a great guide who was both knowledgeable and informative without being overbearing. He fitted into our group’s [4] dynamic very well.
Prompt pick-up at our hotel and comfortable ride to the tulip fields in our minibus. Very enjoyable morning at the gardens despite being quite crowded – it was Easter Sunday, peak tulip time and perfect weather! – but the huge gardens could absorb the crowd. Mark kept us moving so we could see all of the gardens without feeling rushed or hustled but keeping us on schedule.
Lunch was a delight at a traditional pancake restaurant though I felt that the minibus was actually wider than some of the country lanes. Interesting ride.
Next was a trip to a windmill with a stop at some tulip fields. Windmill was not crowded but well documented so we could appreciate the mill.
Final leg of the day was to two farms, one of which used modern technology and one which used more traditional technology. The cheeses were wonderful and which you could bring back to the USA provided they are appropriately wrapped.
Finally back to the hotel in time for dinner. A wonderful day that exceeded our expectation as well as crossing off one of the items on our bucket list
Must do! Keukenhof Tulip tour – Review from Tripadvisor May 6, 2019 by DP4275
This is THE tour company to use in Amsterdam. I strongly recommend this tour company. I only wish that I had booked one of the other tours during the trip! We spent a wonderful day with Mark exploring the Keukenhof Tulip Gardens along with a stop to see tulip fields and a windmill in Haarlem. Plus we were treated to a traditional Dutch pancake lunch. It was clear from the very first communication that Mark’s goal was to create a memorable experience. And he exceeded all our expectations! Every detail of the day was planned – even down to providing a map for the garden with a route through the gardens already marked. I also really liked that the tour groups are small (max 8 people) which meant a level of personalization that makes for a great experience. Mark took the time to ensure that every guest was comfortable and enjoying the trip. It is clear that Mark takes great pride in his work and that means a great experience for customers.
