Cafe De Klos – Best ribs & chicken

Hell yeah. De Klos has 2 things I love… warm smoked chicken and UNSMOKED ribs (in my opinion the smoked ribs are way too salty).

I’ve had the smoked chicken chicken a bunch of times over the years, my first visit was in 1993. I’ve alwyas loved it. 

But really people come here for the ribs. The unsmoked pork ribs come with salad and bread also. You get 3 slabs of ribs, dry bbq style, not slopped over with goo. They are tender and succulent, you can pull the bones out sometimes and bite into great slabs of meat and fat!!! They now serve smaller portions as well, you can choose 1, 2 or 3 slabs. 

They will ask if you want a baked potato – share 1 between 2 people, the portions are huge. I always share the chicken and ribs with whoever I’m eating with.

Opening every day from 4pm to 11pm, booking not possible, just turn up. If I plan to eat ehre I go for an early dinner otherwise you end up waiting at a cafe over the road for an hour sometimes.
