Singel 404 – Lunch Cafe – €

The sandwiches here are legendary for their tastiness and size.  Singel 404 has been around for about 20 years and is cozy and unpretentious and a great place for a quick, filling tasty lunch.

They have a small mezzanine level and a couple of cute little tables outside in the summer.  It is located at the southern end of the Singel canal, such a beautiful part of Amsterdam for wandering around.

The cost was very reasonable for what I got.  Pictured is my smoked chicken, guacamole, sun blushed toms, melted brie topped with herbs on toasted corn bread for €6.95 and the plate is on a big main course sized plate, not a side plate! They have many great vegetarian options too.
