On our Amsterdam City Tour, small groups make all the difference!
Our small group Amsterdam city tour is the best way to explore and learn our lovely old town. We limit our groups to 10 people max so that we can move around easily, talk to and hear each other and be respectful of our surroundings. The tours are given by Mark, Rob and Lee.
The Amsterdam City Tour tour is a 3 hour walking tour, the distance is about 2 miles / 3 kilometres and we stop and talk in many places. You will learn:
- an insight into the history of Amsterdam and by the end you will also know your way around,
- why the crooked houses
- how Amsterdam shaped modern business
- where to eat good food & drink excellent beer
- good and bad coffeeshops
- which markets are good on which days,
- museums and attractions are great and which are tourist traps,
- why all the bicycles, canals, houseboats
- and lots of other things that crop up in conversation.
On our travels around town you will pass:
- the oldest canals
- the Old Church,
- A teeny bit of the Red Light District
- A Hidden Church
- The Sea Dike and China Town,
- The New Market Square (Nieuwmarkt)
- The Canal Belt

Distance walked 2 miles / 3 kilometres – We walk and then stop and talk with many diverse stops.
Language: English at 1st language level.
No children under 10 years please. I love kids but this is a history orientated tour, not aimed at kids, and its not fair to other people who book on the tour to have bored kids or babies needing attention on the tour. I had to draw a line somewhere and decided 10 was a reasonable limit. Children are more than welcome on private tours.
Booking is online, so click on the green button below to get to the Booking Calendar and see what tours are available and book a place.
The small print:
Refund policy: If you cancel more than 48 hours before the start of the tour then you will receive a full refund less bank costs, if any. If you cancel within the last 48 hours then you get a refund only if I can re-sell your places.
Group size is 10 people but if 9 have booked then it can be increased to 11 to allow another couple a place on the tour.
