Singel 404 – Lunch Cafe

The sandwiches here are legendary for their tastiness and size. Named aftger its actual street address, Singel 404 has been around for about 25 years and is cozy and unpretentious and a great place for a quick, filling tasty lunch.

They have a small mezzanine level and a couple of cute little tables outside in the summer.  It is located at the southern end of the Singel canal, such a beautiful part of Amsterdam for wandering around.

The cost was very reasonable for what I got.  Pictured is my smoked chicken, guacamole, sun blushed toms, melted brie topped with herbs on toasted corn bread and the plate is on a big main course sized plate, not a side plate! They have many great vegetarian options too.
